Unfortunately there is kinda a big push to make this standard. Along with microtransactions.
Will this game also have micro-transactions? I dono but you can bet there is someone at Sega trying to...
Yep, not buying and waiting for a sale (or key site) ultimately means Sega will loose more money they would make from me if I payed £29.99 (or willing to pay for Total War) £39.99. Instead from a key...
Those were £29.99.
That's the base price. Total War: Attila and all prior Total War games £29.99.
That's a jump of roughly 1/3.
I'm not going to start slamming the developer or the game itself, but £49.99 is...
Preorder DLC has never been a problem as I always bought on launch. Not this time. no game is getting £49.99 no matter how much I like it.
I'll get it later on at a key site or steam sale when it is...
Not in a billion years.
Better story-telling than modern games; cinematic, without feeling like the gameplay is just tacked on.
Works fine with Shogun 2. Could even run it with fraps.
It is very nice looking and from the benchmark at least: looks better than Rome II. Reminds me abit of the difference between Empire and Napoleon. Many people said they looked the same but Napoleon...
GTX 760
Athlon X2 3.01ghz
8gb memory
Windows 8.1
Performance is abit over the place. For a siege battle or a large 4v4 - it is basically unplayable regardless of setting.
For a standard...
The first thing I did was the text the performance at maximum peak possible (4V4 with AI).
Ran about 5fps.
I think the benchmark tool (the default one) would be better testing your hardware...
I quite enjoyed the DLC for Shogun 2 - it was usually £1.99 - £2.99.
The culture pack for Attilla is sitting at £5.99, double the price.
Will this be the standard price for all DLC when it comes...
Actually thats a good point worth bringing up. Will this be using "steam early access"? For titles such as Divinity: Original Sin this service has proven to be incredibly useful. It seems a series...
Thanks. Disappointing matey.
This wasn't terribly useful my friend.
"Shogun 2 style multiplayer?" and and an ending sentence "Attila like Rome II?" are an antithesis. Two contrasting statements put together.
"no" as a...
The multilayer in Shogun 2 (while unbalanced as hell) seemed like a great step forward. Avatar general, huge customization options to personalize your army. Rather than fixing issues and refining it,...
Some publishers have been very opportunist with steam. If Sega attempt to pull a Ubisoft and charge £49..99, no way in hell.
If the game is reasonable priced, absolutely. I remember Napoleon being a...
Very articulated thoughts my friend however, doesn't CA have two teams?
It would probably benefit the series to use something like steam early access. Many developers have said, even in betas, a lot of issues are missed. I would (guess) with early access selling rather...
Shogun 2 has a 90% metacritic and is considered one of the greatest strategy titles of modern times. Most of CA's titles have reached 80% - 90% critic. With the average playtime of Shogun 2 shown to...
I feel sorry for any dudes playing this on Xboxone/PS4. Price wise, you are getting shafted my friends.

Well, I mean, it's Sega. Totally ignoring Total War, looking at the current price points of aliens doesn't exactly put them in a good light. Be very surprised if it was a decent free2play model.

But Tribes Ascend is good.
I can understand why you would feel that way, but they aren't all terrible money grabbers. Some are pretty decent imo. Tribes: Ascend, TF2, dota 2.
Besides, In Shogun 2 you basically paid £29.99...
Most of the battles for Shogun 2 (and most likely Rome II) have the host deliberately use small unit sizes to reduce lag.
Thoroughly enjoyed Shogun 2's multiplayer. Was fairly disappointment with Rome II's. Definably give it a try.
I understand a lot of you guys didn't like the size the Shogun 2. But for me, it was the perfect size. Empire felt just too huge and I never liked Rome II enough to play it that much. For future...
Very much looking forward to Enemy Within. Sat up till 12 and it's going to be a 3 hour download. So sad.
I have a 40% off Company Of heroes 2, not looking for anything, just have it.

Hello my friends. Today I noticed the price of Rome II is now £29.99. Originally it was priced as £44.99. Then, it was displayed as 33% off (of the £44.99) being sold at £29.99. Now, a month or two...
Went back to Shogun 2.
We don't actually have proof of that. This is just cynical speculation on your part. Civ was shown running with the steam controller fine without any UI changes. The broken mess was just plain bad...
They are. Total War series is far easier and accessible. Pretending to be elite wont change this fact. Nor does it detract from any of titles mentioned being great games.
By allowing more people to play?
Moba games are probably the most played online games in the world and starcraft II is pretty much a national sport.
The current steam machine is very powerful running with a titan. It's probably more powerful than most of the machines running Rome II on the pc. The main threat though is probably the UI. Total War...
The actual controller, which operates very much like a touch pad was shown working with CIV (in it's pc state without any changes) fairly intuitively.
Saying this though, Rome II had a terrible...
