I'm still as socially conservative as they come (or at least I think so - I think the fact that I'm against the death penalty pushes me further towards the libertarian side in the quiz's mind) but I...

I fear for the health of this particular IH. I don't know if anybody is actively participating at the moment. I know for my own part I totally fell off the face of the earth because I've been far...

Anything by Korpiklaani that isn't about alcohol is probably about the Kalevala. Anything by Turisas that isn't about alcohol is probably about the Varangian Guard.

Tyr's cover of Regin Smiður is fantastic.

Honestly, this is a relatively recent phenomenon for me. My limit is folk metal stuff like the examples you see above because I like how closely it ties...

So I remain America, meaning I get to do diddly squat for the next two years, and Finland, which is probably slightly more pressing.

I'll try to get on that asap but I have a lot of homework to do...

I was only curious. Obviously it's totally fine for you to use your own story for your own purposes outside the game. :P

Wait wait, so what did the decision with Germany end up being? These last few days have been rather busy so I apologize for not being able to follow up earlier.

  15. Re: No Peace in Our Time - the 1939 World War II IH

I guess I don't mind playing Germany in a pinch if somebody is willing to take up the US. I always figured playing one Allied and one semi-Axis power was a bit of a conflict of interest anyway.

Greek Islands in the Aegean count as one province except for Crete which should be its own province. All Islands in the Italian Dodecanese (so, like, Rhodes and a few others) are one province. That...
  18. Re: No Peace in Our Time - the 1939 World War II IH

Whatever you can contribute. Anything helps but don't overextend yourself.

I designed the econ map with the idea in mind that island chains make up provinces. It makes zero sense for a single...

No special units that I recall hearing about. You may be thinking about special abilities for each nation though.

I'm betting on it going about as well as it went historically for them.

Romania has lots of oil, I drew it on the map myself. Check around Iasi in Moldavia.
  25. Re: No Peace in Our Time - the 1939 World War II IH

That would be ideal, but it would be hard to come by statistics for that.
  26. Re: No Peace in Our Time - the 1939 World War II IH

This is an important question. Also, what about oil? Finland doesn't have any oil but according to my OOB (WHICH WILL BE DONE WHEN I'M GOOD AND READY, FRED) I should have one tank division, which...

Do we have any kind of an espionage system in place?
  30. Re: No Peace in Our Time - the 1939 World War II IH

This is also the point I'm trying to make. It's not just a measure of GDP or even industrial output, it's more an assessment of how much the province can contribute to military forces (since IH has...
  31. Re: No Peace in Our Time - the 1939 World War II IH

I'm going to be sneaky about it and say that we should leave it as-is, only because you would be in a pretty  position in economic terms. It's definitely too late to redesign that.
