Try again. Make sure you reinstall everything ( Third age Vanilla etc. ). If that doesnt work, reinstall Medieval 2 Total War.

I forgot: Follow the instructions from Elvenkind, it helped me too.

As Thranduills Elves I noticed that in my short campaign I have to destroy the Shadow of Mirkwood but the map says Mordor with the actual eblem of Mordor from Vanilla. Nevertheless gameplay stunned...
