I wonder if the remaster will allow for more factions, units, provinces and other hardcoded stuff.

In case you missed it, there was a patch on steam workshop about an hour ago.
EDIT: Adding the changelog from steam since there is no official post about it.
Bronze petasos maybe?
I'm just happy to see something "new" that isn't Warhammer.
Floating damage counters.... in a total war title?
Nothing to do here.
Because that would require actual work.
It is nice to see people actually defending unit blobbing... "Bu bu but it is you fault for sending them all in at the same time!!!!111!1!"
If you can't see a problem with the game here you should...
Definitely looking forward to it
More like Rome II 1.0
That gave me a good chuckle, thank you. :)
RTS games that cover long periods of time usually fall flat on their face when it comes to immersion and attention to detail.
But it is already a trend, it started with Empire/Napoleon.
Dat hungry statue.
Still not buying any of them, on another note i've created a "Crap" category in my Steam library which is currently inhabited by Rome 2, Arcania and RO2 singleplayer.
Hell no. Just empire/napoleon all over again, with the base game, the game i REALLY wanted to be good, left hanging.
You know how when Paradox makes DLC for CK II that unlocks factions, how they actually add new features to the game that would make playing those factions unique or somewhat different at least? Well...
I've had it installed for an age... Haven't really played that much though. Ought to give it a go.
I've played this for a while now, been an early access backer since early this year. Must say i'm not that impressed with the final product, the game feels barebones with the campaign mode being just...
Saw this one coming, not buying of course.
Units with precursor weapons can now fire at will? So defensive pila? That's good, also great that there is an axe animation now. Overall seems like a good update.
Already have.
Another reason for me to not try Rome II again - the chance of running into AI controlled fantasy units.
CA could you make it possible to disable Fantasy Unit packs when launching the game, similar to how it is possible to disable Sunset Invasion in Crusader Kings 2 launcher.
Lol. Is it first of april?
Uninspiring is the word i use, also tried it after patch 14, one custom siege battle (which featured extensive torch use btw) and a few campaign turns was all i could muster...
That's just consistent with CA cutting corners as usual, it was already blatantly obvious in Empire where all the eastern factions had mostly european ships. I actually expected the barbarians to...
What is the point of this thread by the way? Seems like something that should belong to the historical discussion subforum.
CA has an uncanny ability to seek out the most ridculous one-off weaponry from the depths of history and slap those in the face of their costumers as if they were the norm...
Combat Mission Shock Force, WWII Online, Project Reality, ARMA 2, Europa Barbarorum
Let's hope it will.
Plot twist: It will be standalone! dun dun duuuuuun
Maybe it will add meaningful politics etc, but guess what, it won't affect base Rome II at all just like all the positive changes in Napoleon...
Didn't notice anything about torches being removed or about politics system turned into something meaningful. Not worth reinstalling.
They couldn't add more relevant animations because they had to add pointless fluff like facial animations, priorities...
American Conquest
Because siege torches.
I have all the newer CM games, it is really a great series, there was a thread about them somewhere in this subforum but didn't recieve much attention.
Haven't played in 7 months, but when i did it was less than 100 turns, after the initial survival mode, where you have a couple of provinces, the game becomes too easy and boring, there are not...
Singleplayer was alright i'd say - a nice action movie as usual, the ending was kinda rubish though, i don't play CoD multiplayer so i can't comment on that
Really loved Fifa 2000 intro back in the day.
Oh look another DLC i won't buy.
