    Re: Any tips for Macedon?

I go north first, let Epirus grind itself against Sparta and Athens, see if you can get the Greeks to pay you to fight. If you can secure the Macedonian and Thracian provinces you should be able to...
  2. Re: STELLover's MORE TOWNS AND CITIES ON CAMPAIGN MAP MOD [VISUAL]

Any way you could change it so it works with the terrain settings at very high and above? I'd love to download it, but terrain settings always bug me for some reason.

    Rome II won't start

Anyone else having this problem? The Rome II launcher comes up, I hit play game... and nothing happens. I haven't been able to play since the patch.
  4. Re: Vialabo's Imperial Survival Kit

Looks fantastic, I will definitely give it a shot! I've been hesitating on mods because of the patches, but this is great.

    Re: Missile Cavalry Tactics

Honeslty, my only experience with missile cavalry was in multiplayer against a friend of mine, I just brought a lot of slingers. He tried to get close, my slingers killed off a few, and he just kept...

    No Tribute from Vassals?

Has anyone else noticed this? I have multiple client states, who I've helped in several wars, yet no income from them. Don't see a reason to keep them around then...

    Re: Culture is killing game

Only in that province, but you can always convert or destroy buildings. This is why I swarm dignitaries in before my conquests.

    Diplomacy Mods Possible?

I always hate to make mod requests, but...Can any of you enterprising gentlemen see if the diplomacy behavior can be modded. In general, to make factions more agreeable; currently no one wants to...
  10. Re: Diplomacy and Client States: They do not work as they should

Complete transparency in diplomacy! Haha! The only way I can get a trade agreement is if I tack on attacking a faction they're at war with AND a non-aggression pact. Really? Honestly, this is the...

    Re: Mods already?

I think it's great. Yeah, Rome's got some flaws (some people say a lot, I say a few) but our community can use it's talent to personalize the gaming experience. I wouldn't have released Rome in the...
  12. [Resource] Re: Rome II Raw DB files and Faction Modding Info

Thanks to Jack and CA. Best of luck fixing everything, and it's nice to see mod support out the gate.

    Re: Hilarious faces on greeks!

Hannibal, upon crossing the Alps and seeing Romans for the first time:

"Well... that's disturbing. Let's go guys."

Having just crossed the Alps, no one minded turning back around.
  18. Re: If something goes wrong, I don't re-load...

I save and reload in the old games when auto-resolve is unpredictable, i.e. outnumber them by 2000 men, lost 1990 men! WTF
  19. Re: looting / raping scenes on captured towns

NO. Just no. I expect my soldiers to behave like men, not animals, and I don't care how accurate it is.

    Re: Seleucids without Seleucia ???

Historically, the Seleucids didn't have as much control over their hinterlands as they may have liked. I think the use of client states portrays the limited control you'll have at the start of the...
