Where is the folder located to disable sweetFX or whatever after visuals are being used?
Hopefully this is the beginning of a new, frequent updating to this mod. I would like to see more historical accuracy to WRE and ERE shield patterns and armor in the future.
Does anyone have any suggestions for visual mods? The new update made GEMfx 1.0.9 unusable as it will cause major framerate loss when on.

I would we see a real push to finish the core idea of this mod into at least a final version. It feels dead.
Why? Shouldn't it be up to the user? If I want my framerate to suffer for some nice screenshots, shouldn't I have the option to choose. Seems completely pointless.

They didn't. An individual would have painted their shield in a multitude of patterns or colors, and even artistic designs if they wanted.
Is there a version that doesn't increase unit size? As this game already runs pretty poorly as is.
Is it possible you can mix them in units as well? So the entire unit doesn't have the same shield. That's one thing that looks so out of place in vanilla.
I think the "P" symbol should have the curve reduced as so it doesn't hit the "x". I would be a nice visual improvement.

I don't know if it is a recent update that CA and steam have implemented or what, but these patch files cause a program crash on every attempt to start a new campaign. The regular Trom 3 1.91 files...

I don't want to see Empire 2 or Medieval 3 unless it's on a new 64 bit engine. So hopefully it's neither.

That's what I assumed. To keep lines more intact and from blobbing. It's a shame that the CA didn't think to make better unit cohesion while maintaining nice looking kill animations.

It doesn't help the situation that the AI is too stupid to realize not to charge cavalry and weaker melee units headlong into pikemen in the first place.

This appears to work well. I am sure it doesn't fix the sound problems, perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling everything including mods will resolve it....
I can play campaign as anyone and after every battle I play it will not load and end up not responding.
Renaming the folders doesn't seem to be good enough. Stainless Steel crashes when attempting to play custom battles. It's consistent too. It will crash just when you go to the unit selection for each...

It finally worked, but only after i even removed the downloaded files of ACW in an other folder. So that is 2 different users of ACW who have had this happen when reverting back to vanilla Empire....
