so, in medieval times Georgian kings for military service used (except for Kypchaks):Quote:
Thats pretty sweet!
Did I put any latin knight mercs in the georgia area?
I think perhaps Armenia and Georgia could get access to certain knightly orders for future versions.
1. Viking auxiliaries (in Georgia they called as "Varangni") from Russia and Byzantium - see battle of sasireti (1042). probably medium-heavy axemen infantry.
2. Allan mercenaries - see battle of Didgori (1121, 12 august) - light cavalry
3. French Crusaders auxiliaries - see battle of Didgori (1121, 12 august) , medium-heavy infantry and cavalry
tadzreuli i downloaded broken crescent patch and it sayed that had installed but. when i turned on medieval, there were not new factions. what can i do? can you explane me?
first you need to install the mod...THEN the patch
most likely the problem that your having is because you are clicking on the med II icon. don't. Click on the broken crescent icon after youve installed the mod. :thumbsup2

not so strongest I think :) Mamluks army and Khorezm army are more strong than Georgian in late period, but in early period Georgian infantry (Kartlian spearmen and Khevsurs) is best infantry ! gamer have chance quickly conquest the rebel settlements and build strong state, then he have more options to employ more strong units (like Tadzreuli, Metsikhovne and Monaspa).Quote:

Recently I have found out in a museum of Tbilisi double axes of medieval ages, according to scientific, such axes were two kinds, small and the average size. Small axes used heavy лучники, and more big size axes were used the by elite, heavy cavalrymen who were registered in bodyguard of the Georgian tsars. Leaning against such sources I have created new model of the heavy cavalryman with an axe.
soon I shall create proper model (sketch) of Metsikhovne heavy archer.

I find georgian bodyguard impractical, because when I need a strong heavy cavalry charge my bodyguard are shooting arrows, while rest of the army is butchered. Historically many battles in Georgian medieval history were changed by kings guard charges. Can we modify it?
Tnx.
I think it would be sweet for the king's bodyguard be the only units in Georgia with AP if they had those axes. AP axes and a good charge rate would make up for the lack of a lance.
I agree totally!
Well Georgia does have Monaspa lancers, which are alright.
There have been too few axes in BC.
Maybe I am wrong, but I think you should add some units to georgian army, like MESKHEBI, because in the middleages they were the strongest warriors in georgia and I think more famous than svanian archers or khevsurs :)
Nice.
Thanks a lot, I didn't know that, gonna try it right away!!! +rep for knowledge!
I have not got any pictures, but "mematiane" had written that after Georgia was united, since 975 A.C. "Meskhebi" were the warriors who fought the first, that was a tradition, they were the best warriors and so they fought the first, sorry I do not know enough English.

I will try to find more information about it :)
