Tutorial: How to get Rusichi TW to work!

Hello everyone,


I have noticed that with the installer many people are having problems getting their Rusichi_TW to run. My tutorial will explain everything step by step even for the most non-techy people. :)

1) Download the installer from either the team's links (a) or my links (b).

2) Run the installer of Rusichi_TW 1.0 (NOTE: It may take 30-60 seconds or more for the installer to start running so please be patient!)

3) Set the directory to any place you wish (I recommend the given directory or onto your desktop).

4) Once it has finished installing, find the place (directory) where you have installed your Rusichi_TW. It should be in a folder called SEGA\Medieval II\mods\Rusichi_TW.

5) Cut the Rusichi_TW folder and place it into C:\\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\Mods

6) Download the file in the attachment and copy it to your .cfg

7) Open Notepad and write this

Then save the file as Rusichi_TW.bat and place it into your Rusichi_TW folder.

8) Run the Rusichi_TW.bat and it is guaranteed to work :)

9) OPTIONAL: If you wish to have a desktop short cut, then Right click on Rusichi_TW.bat and click on Send To -> Desktop (Shortcut).

Russian gondor are there any news(from the team) about new patches etc??

No, team has fallen dead silent since early 2010. I wager they think the mod finished. I am a bit busy with other projects but tinkering a little currently with Rusichi.

i had try follow ur instruction about notepad quote..but it still cant start the game..it say medieval got unspecific error and will exit =(

Can you attach your .cfg file so I can have a look at it and see what's wrong?

i reinstall back rusichi mod and then try again.. finally i can start play this awesome mod

No wait. With my Steam version it doesn't work.
I don't have a Sega folder in C drive as well.

Allow me to note that when I launch it, an error pops up with nothing written in it. What do I do?

I don't think you should move it then. I don't see why that step is listed. I haven't yet tried the mod, but moving the folder doesn't make sense.

I think I know how to do it since I also run it on Steam.

When it comes to..

7) Open Notepad and write this
cd ..\..
start kingdoms.exe @mods\Rusichi_TW\Rusichi_TW.cfg




Replace kingdoms.exe with medieval2.exe and that should deal with the problem.

Steam integrated Kingdoms and Medieval 2 into the same thing a while back, so there is no more kingdoms.exe; only medieval2.exe.

i did what u said but nothing happen and its not my first mod so i know a few thing
so whatever i do it seams after i chose my faction and after intero movie it crach ???

After instaling the mod I have "un encounterd error" massage while loading the game. Advice is needed.
