Re: Need Help with History Homework?
Well this looks dead. I'll start.
''Germany was the main culprit of the Great War''
Defend this statement with two arguments.

Then just say ww1, ok lol... kwl site btw.
-The Germans (centralen) were the once who attacked first (West-Front) by attacking Belgium, a neutral country, so they could flank the French and blitz Paris then move the bulk of there troops to the east front (as the french, british and russians were allies, Triple Entente) by purpose built railways.
This was the 'Von Schlieffen plan'.

Do they mean the Germans or also there allies as they were very united, if so:
http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juli-Ultimatum, this ultimatum was made by Austria-Hungary, a German ally, and it caused the war.
Or write down that the Germans went to war to help there Austrian allies that basically started the war.

Anyway here's the original question: ''Duitsland was de hoofdschuldige van de Eerste Wereldoorlog.''
Verdedig deze stelling met twee argumenten.
I think your answers are good enough.
Re: Need Help with History Homework?

This thread is for help with homework, not debate.

Re: Need Help with History Homework?
Well World War One unfolded like this. When Austria Hungary invaded Serbia, Russia, who was allied to Serbia, started to mobilize it's army for Serbia's defense. Germany, seeing the Russian mobilization took it as an act of War and, after a warning to stop, declared War on Russia, then France being allied to Russia, declared War on Germany, and Britain being allied to France and seeing Belgium's neutrality violated pledged to defend Belgium and declared War on Germany. So, you could say Germany's declaration of war on Russia and Russia's mobilization itself were the two things most responsible for World War One becoming more then just another war in the Balkans between Serbia and Austria Hungary.
