Morale seems like glass, is this intentional?
Soldiers seem to run away if so much as a stiff breeze touches them. Is this intentional? I know casualty rates in Total War tend to be a lot higher than they tended to be in reality and was wondering if this was an attempt to simulate that armies would run away before casualties got that severe?
Re: Morale seems like glass, is this intentional?
with which faction did you experience this?
Re: Morale seems like glass, is this intentional?
Kemet. I was playing on very hard, so I suppose I had it coming, but even the Kyrenians I was fighting seemed to break and run away surprisingly easily. I'm not complaining, it just came as a surprise when my Egyptian soldiers broke almost instantly in the face of the Greek attack... which I suppose isn't surprising given it was Egyptian soldiers going head to head against a phalanx.

Greeks are overpowered. This is normal.

Better use Hard for battles.

2.2 is a beta(ish) release from 2008, so it has a lot of balancing issues such as the glass AI
