Re: Dipomacy: Call to Arms
I'd be interested in joining this. I've used that website to play with friends for years.
Re: Dipomacy: Call to Arms
I haven't played in some time. I did use it has a teacher. Back then, there wasn't a "teachers" version of the game. The admin of the site were very good at accommodating as best they could at the time. I am glad to see that they found a way to do it.
Anyway,
Hopefully we can grab 5 more interested people.
Here is a nice youtuber who discuses the opening strategy of each "faction." Historygamers.com This is link to a compilation that starts with the basic rules.
If prefer to read, this is nice page to read about the game.

There are only two basic guidelines in diplomacy.
1)Make Treaties

Re: Dipomacy: Call to Arms
Earlier i was going to play it for leisure.
But now i have to travel again to the middle of the Sierra Nevada for some business related to the army so.................i will have to play this as a stress buster. In that vile place they make you do hard jobs.
Re: Dipomacy: Call to Arms
Maybe we should start a game and wit for people to join before starting it. People are more likely to join a game that's already been created.
Could we do it on Webdiplomacy? It's much more user-friendly.

Re: Dipomacy: Call to Arms
I haven't played on that server. I will have to give it a go. I am hoping to get newbie players, introduce them to the basic game and then explore these other variants.
Re: Dipomacy: Call to Arms
So..............umm what next. Why dont we persue a more aggressive advertising campagian.
Re: Dipomacy: Call to Arms
So is there a game we can join yet? I'd be happy to send a few PMs around
Re: Dipomacy: Call to Arms
I have no idea who i would PM about a non- total war game. If you have the energy and the patience you can scan this forum to find out who are board game enthusiast. Board gamers would most likely be inclined to play Diplomacy.
