Blood and Iron aims at providing the player with the utmost realistic experience from Napoleon Total War during Europe's major conflicts of the mid-19th century. With Blood and Iron, lead your nation to glorious victory during the Austro-Prussian War, the fight for the Italian peninsula,control of Central Europe, and the Franco-Prussian War. With an improved economic system, improved BAI, and a more agressive CAI, Blood and Iron shall immerse you in the culture and military tactics of the day. Expect new units, new uniforms, and historically accurate leaders and generals of the time, as well as historically accurate unit stats.
Features, in depth
Unit stats and morale, they are as realistic as possible. No longer will you have spartan units, chargins into hell, taking massive casualties, and continuing to press the attack. Now you must manage your men carefully. A unit may be worked down to 83 men over time. Menaing that noly taking about 1 or 2 casualties a minute, your men can hold the line for a while. Shock, however, is important. If you hit an enemy hard and fast, he will route with relatively minor casualties. But when a unit routes, all is not lost. A unit will break and rout easily, but you may always bring them back into the fight by rallying them, leading to longer and more complex battles that will ensure the need to encircle and destroy your enemy. Artillery too has been changed, as the Prussians now control the Krupp Breach Loader, the worlds most advanced cannon. Quick reloading times will make these cannons your battle winners, as the Needle gun is only a supplement. All guns are terribly inaccurate. At maximum range (which is granted fairly far in this mod) A Prussian volley will kill around 1-2 men. While this seems boring and such, trust me it isnt ;)

I would like to contribute as researcher/multiplayer-battle tester. I was part of TacicalWarfare mod team and currently i am resposible for NER - Napoelon empire realism multiplayer part.
Btw i have osprey books for both prussian/german and french armies, i can prepare roster for both sides.
I was waiting long time to see chassepot and needlegun to clash!

I can prepare army rosters and proposal of battle mechanics- unit scale, terrain scale etc.
I have osprey books and some otehrs about this period.

Thats some good information, some of it is a bit before our time, (we hope to begin in 1866, at the start of Austro-Prussian War) but most of it is very very good, and useful +rep
