Obviously Iīm talking about Medieval 2 ;)
DVD? Steam? Amazon? Direct2Drive? Other? What language?

Itīs the DVD Gold Edition and Iīm German.
Patch 1.5 German GOLD version mirror:
FilePlanet: http://www.fileplanet.com/185631/180...man-Patch-v1.5
Gamershell: http://www.gamershell.com/download_24612.shtml
WorthPlaying: http://www.worthdownloading.com/down...=2528&id=14611
This is straight from www.totalwar.com and CA's list.
Can I straight download the 1.5 patch? or do I have to download another patch first?
I just downloaded the 1.2 patch, but an error occurs, which says, that the patch will install version 1.02.001 and I have to uninstall version 1.03.000. So I already have the patches 1.3 and 1.4 on Medieval and Kingdoms though it says in the ingame options that I have version 1.03 and 1.04?
IF you have the Gold Edition installed including all the Kingdoms campaigns, all you need is the 1.5 patch.
Medieval2 singleplayer = 1.02/1.2.
Medieval2 multiplayer = 1.03/1.3.
Kingdoms = 1.04/1.4.
Alright. Now Kingdoms doesnīt start anymore (Medieval starts without a problem), because allegedly I have the wrong disk, but it IS the original Gold Edition and I tried disk 2, too. :/

Disable the UAC assuming Vista, Win 7/8?
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...Store-Problems assuming Vista, Win 7/8?
Install someplace besides Program Files (x86) assuming Vista, Win 7/8?
So this will solve my DVD problem? Iīve got Win 7 btw.
More than an even chance.
1. The game is XP friendly only.
2. The game hates the UAC.
3. The game hates the security layer built into Program Files (x86 folder. I have mine in C:\Games With Win 7 64bit.
The dvd Gold Edition seem s to have a mind of its own but this seems to cure most of them.
The game still doesnīt start after Iīve tried the third way. I donīt want to try the other ones, because UAC seems necessary to my system. I donīt understand why the game doesnīt work, I think the problem ma be the patch, because without the patch Kingdoms worked. And on my old computer it worked with Vista even fine.
And I canīt chose where to install the game. It automatically installs the game on my C: SSD harddrive, but i have E: harddrive with 1 TB memory.
That is because you have less than 9gb of free space on C: drive.
If you want it on E:, you will have to make room on C:. This is as old as the game's original release. I would guess that CA uses C: for its unpacking of the install files and never took into consideration many have more than one drive available.
So can I just drag the files from my C: harddrive to my E: volume?
Alright, so the German patch for 1.5 is a .rar file, why canīt I open/run it? I downloaded 7zip before.
And I really think the problem is the patch. I downloaded the international version from http://www.gamestar.de/spiele/mediev....html#comments and I think that it is the international version. So the patch causes this weird DVD error :/
And my excuses for my superb mode of expression ;)
I use the free version of Winrar.
There was another German patch for a while but it disappeared when Sega got hacked what seems to be three or so years ago.
