Its a Kestros dart, the Macedonians have them.
looks like a plumbata from BI coming at you? One of the defenders must be a time traveller from the future...?
It is indeed a kestos dart. Macadonian only.
Kudos to Dom and TM. That is indeed what it is. I found it very cool that this new type of ammo was in the game.
XGM is cool! Roma Surrectum's the best!
:hmmm: Interesting....
^^:laughter:
Turning back to posting screenshots ... here is a sample from my "Moments of death" collection. I guess, it isn't difficult to indentify the cause of death and the sourse of the funny lightining effect. The scene is pretty dramatic, isn't it?

Burn Baby Burn - disco inferno.
Thats the imapct of flaming catapult ammo on some Thracian Thorakitai and Heavy Cavalry - possibly general's bodyguards.
Hot Stuff!
Yep, something like that, Unknown. Onagers can become surprisingly accurate when firing at a general's unit. I even read somewhere on forums this as a tip to kill the enemy general fast and almost painlessly. The rate of success is pretty high I must say
First shots with onagers are far more accurate then when they fire at a target for a while. My tip, change target after every shot.
