Serbian Hussar's Improved Textures (NEW MAILED KNIGHTS PREVIEW + New "Genoa reskined" for download)
Serbian Hussar's Improved Textures
Ok, so I've always hated those vanilla textures, especially for lightly armoured units like peasants, archers, spearmen, etc.
In this "project" I plan to reskin all such units to make them more appealing to players. I will try to make them look like they are wearing real matterials like wool, linnen.. , and not something without any texture; and also remove "printed on" cote of arms; and make colours much less vivid and infrequent.
I'm glad to anounce that time of ugly vanilla mailed knights is soon to be over ;)
I've been given permission from Broken Crescent to use their models made by Strelac.
This is the sample of what mailed knights will look like (Aragon mailed knights; shields not done):

A new "Genoa reskined (Early and High)" pack is released along with new shields with actual genoese noble families symbols! Special thanks to Rus_Bey for providing some material.
(Download is in the attached files, pictures in spoiler)

I really hate the vanilla textures, looks like they're wearing football shirts, with vivid colors and that kind of stuff..
The rustic look is really cool ! :)
Ps: By the way, this mod is compatible with SS 6.4 and Meneth ?
Thanks in advance !
Re: Serbian Hussar's Improved Textures
I`ll go ahead and answer, although it`s clearly not my call.

Yes, it is. You just need to change the right files.

Then maybe you should learn how to reskin. It`s really not that hard. Just kinda time consuming...
