I watched all four videos with joy and despite being Russian I find “La Victoire Est A Nous” is the best but Russian clip looks also impressive but maybe I am just biased hahaha.
Thanks for posting anyway. Good selection. +1 Rep.

(lyrics are epic! :laughter:)
Are you serious...
So did they kill the enemy with bayonets, or make them surrender through onion based chemical warfare?
I'm not 100% sure, but I've read somewhere that the song comes from Napoléon who liked eating fried onions when he was on campaign. So eating these famous fried onions was like symbol for the older guard.
But it has to be verified. Maybe there's another explanation.
Onion grenades thrown befor echarging, to make the enemies eyes water perhaps?
Can you please have your onion discussion in private instead of messing up a thread?
Le Pas de Charge de la Marine Impériale / Aux Champs
Les Lanciers Polonais
Marche de la garde des consuls
La Marche des Grognards (Garde impériale)
Marsch der Kursächsischen Leibgarde (,,der Kesselsdorfer'')
Marsch I. Bataillon Garde
Darsh, the last one sounds a lot like the Russian Semenovsky march in the beginning.

Loved this one since playing 'Fields of Glory' way back in the day! (Plus 'La Victoire Est A Nous' of course)
Never heard that version of the British grenadiers before.
