Just to spice things up I'm adding some alex units to XGM to fill some recruitment gaps...
This is alex allied cavalry moved into the carthaginian roster as first tier cav (rebalancing in progress):

The New Spartan Royal Guard. They look quite pretty with thier gloss mapping, thier bronze shines ever so brightly. Mine have swords, because i gave them back thier secondary attack, so it looks more realistic when they attack walls. Only problem is they switch to swords, when charging an enemy unit, instead of thier spears, but as soon as they clash, they switch back to thier spears, then when thier formation becomes too disrupted they start switching to swords.
You can always write Add_money slave, 10000 and then write add_money -10000
I decided to give the Immortals a different look.

looks nice but the poor guys have to walk and wear all this metal under the hot sun of Iran :(
They will get a significant heat penalty. Just make sure you get all your fighting done early in the day. :)
I was thinking about something similar for an AOR unit, steppe hoplites available to hellenistic states in the steppe areas with a large shield instead of the bow and of course shield wall.
It would be similar to armoured phalangites and sacred band but more heavily armoured and with the same attack stats as greek mercenaries. According to EB units like those existed around india and baktria.
If you change the helmet a bit it would be also good for the seleucid silver shield legionaries as it would make them look more like EB version...
In my Seleucid campaign one of my commanders acquired the title of "the Great", and as it happened his name was Alexander. :)

Unfortuntely he was assasinated shortly afterwards. :(

When I sent an agent to investigate his death I found four Armenian assassins around the city where he died. I guess fame really does bring unwanted attention.
that's cool and he is pretty young. so far i had only one "the great" it was Mesalius of pergamum, but he got it when he was 57
hey so how do you guys get the "The Great" title?
how
opps i forgot to add that
anyone?
I think you have to win great battles in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Once you do that with one general that general should get the "Great" title I've only gotten titles like "The Bloody" or "Of the Eagles" since one of my generals captured so many first cohorts
thanks
Love the new immortals. Best title i got, was Alexander, the conqourer. The same guy as Dimeys, cept mine died of old age.
The thing is the name change too fast. If you have the great, it soon will be the cunning or something like that.
Wished it was more unique.
gregorios it works even with clear victories, but you have to be from some of the hellenic factions, including Egypt and Thrace. you get victor in europe trait when you defeat an army of macedon for example, it doesn't matter where you did it in europe, africa or asia, it's still victor in europe.
