Great as usual!
I haven't check this for a loooong time. What can say? I'm as stunned as was when I first saw this. I just want to play this sooo badly!
Hi
Well, thanks guys! I'm working on this mod for more than a year now! I'll try to give you a playable beta until this Christmas! (I can't say it for sure though!) But I'm on it.
Now that I put Shades in the mod, I had to go back to animating for while. :( Which means a lot of slow progress, editing animations one by one. Fortunately , it seems that since these guys are levitating above ground, I can remove certain animations from their set such as(turns, shuffles, step left-right,etc..) I'm soo glad for this(means a lot less editing), but still a loot of job with this.
Here are two screens about a wip attack anim, Turquine is surrounded and he delivers attacks from above!

Are those suppose to be bare arms on the ground unit? It kind of look like a tree bark. Shade look great though.
I think it is some sort of cloth, LL...
Doesn't really look like cloth either.
Hi,
This must be the first criticism about my work.:) I like it, let them coming.
Those arms supposed to be padded armor under the chainmail. (I didn't model the separation of the two. :( ) This unit had originally just chainmal on the arms, but I've added unit upgrades to it and I didn't want to bother with a new model, I just made a simple retexturing.

EDIT: See this post of mine! http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...09#post8996809
Maybe it's the color or the strong normals but it doesn't look much like padded armor.
Rusichi has some nice examples of padded armor texture http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...49#post3603449. But I don't know if a padded shirt is the right fit for the unit, maybe a plain cloth shirt would look better. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about visual upgrades since they're not exactly essential.
Yes, you're probably right, it has to be the strong normals cause I've used a photo of a padded armor as base for this texture soo it should look like a padded armor.:hmm: It's really is a small detail anyway.
I have too much work ahead of me, to go back to this..:(.
Oh yes Rusichi is the best!:worship:Those guys are amazing!
I like adding upgrades though! They're probably not essential as you wrote, it's just nice to have!;)
The level of detail it's amaizing... Again! ;)
Are you referring to gloves of Light unit? Beacouse i think they look ok...
Hi, thx tyler! Louis pointed out that the textures on the arms could be better, not the gloves.
I don't know maybe this counts as doublepost but I'll put these images here again. We were talking about the unit on the first image. (that's the basic appaerance of the warriors) I wanted to add padded armours on the arms, shoulders covered by chainmail. Maybe this front view looks more like padded armour, I don't know.

(unit cards are changed since these screenshots were taken. ;)) Anyway, talking about the Legion and warriors. I was thinking maybe I should make separated squads from the warriors. Like military groups. So you could train them from small groups, up to big.
Something like this:
Warrior patrol 15-30
Warrior company 45-60
Warrior brigade 80-100
Warrior army 150-175
Warrior legion (carries the eagle, standard bearer attached, boosts morale) 275
Numbers could be changed of course. It would be really interesting to see how this works..I'd like to see how Myth's small squads-tactic would work on M2TW engine, with having the possibility of commanding thousands too.!
Dude, the padded part looks fine. In fact warriors with their upgrades are my favorite. ;)
Great work must spread rep...
The idea is really cool. This mod will be very interesting for all the aspects... ;)

Hi Pilgrim,
Thanks. Didn't happen too much lately with the mod though! :( Anyway I thought I'd upload the full preview of the Trow. No images yet, but everything is wrapped up in a video.;) Please watch it in 720p.
