I was delighted to have found this on Youtube yesterday, the Channel Four program "The Dragon Has Two Tongues" which isn't on DVD:(. It was screened in the Eighties and involved two presenters Professor Gwyn Williams and Gwyn A. Williams, debating about Welsh History and its identity in the modern world. I remember watching it as a boy with my father. The lively and forthright debates between the two of them were really a break from conventional television programming and are in a different class than brainless rubbish churned out today on television. At the time I didn't particularly like the Marxist orientated stance of Gwyn A. Williams but today I really respect him as a man who had strong convictions about society and social change, even though I still don't agree with much of the rhetoric he used in analyzing Welsh history. However it's a great pity there doesn't seem to be many people around today with that same strength of character and spirit in a political world devoid of any form of intellectual debate.

This is good series on American history. It's not as comprehensive as an AP textbook, but it's well-presented, informative, and sometimes includes round table discussions. Transcripts of the videos are also available.
