Re: End of Antiquity Campaign: The First Crusade (612 - 710)
The loss of Caudillo's work was one of the most tragic things I have ever seen in TWC. It is partly what killed the last iteration of the EoR team.

I hope you can get something back, and if not at least this project has had some results.

Re: End of Antiquity Campaign: The First Crusade (612 - 710)
I managed to get the EoA-campaign to work after fixing a few bugs - 1. Units that were not in the EDU-file caused a return to menu, 2. Village population needed to be minimum 500 but was 400 and lastly 3. city for Crim had wooden pallisade when it should have used stone wall.
It worked to enter the campaign after the above had been corrected. - The EoA campaign of the main mod is slightly more worked on than the one that is stand-alone - and it does have victory videos for Persians and Crim added to the campaign map unlike the other version.
I do think it could be worked on soon as i have restored nearly all the faction rosters of the six to seven factions used by that mod. Danube Limes is more stable than the released version according to Darius, so i don't need to touch that one - and i still have like eleven faction rosters left to restore for the main campaign.
But at least now i could easily add rosters to EoA within the big EoR mod.

Me and Jurcek1987 have talked about continuing our version of this. We'll see what happens - but he is a modeller so probably he could create some new units. I'll try to get the ball rollin' and he already has my version.

Just to let everyone know that End of Antiquity won't be finished by me or anything.
The Justinian Main campaign might be finished - because it has come a long way, unlike this one.

Ok, but you and/or others are working on the Main campaign (set in Justinian's times), don't you?
Re: End of Antiquity Campaign: The First Crusade (612 - 710)
I have done some work on restoring the rosters and structuring all the files yes.
Re: End of Antiquity Campaign: The First Crusade (612 - 710)
How close are you to completing the Justinian campaign? Are you looking for people complete/work on the End of Antiquity campaign?

It's just a matter of adding units and fixing bugs in the campaign otherwise the Justimian Main Campaign is done.
The Danube Limes and EoA are also included - but the EoA is basically just a map at this point. It may have some stuff but not much at all - so it's dead. But as it's a part of this package somebody may work on it after the Justinian Campaign has been released in it's first version.
But i am currently very busy.
Re: End of Antiquity Campaign: The First Crusade (612 - 710)
Nice. Would it be alright if I work on the EoA campaign after the Justinian campaign is released? Also, does EoA utilize the thematic era units?

Sure, it would be okay and i could send you the stand-alone EoA also if you'd want that.
No, i think it doesn't have units added.

Re: End of Antiquity Campaign: The First Crusade (612 - 710)
Will anything ever come of this?
Re: End of Antiquity Campaign: The First Crusade (612 - 710)
No, it's incredibly unlikely this will ever see the light of day. No one had the free time or skill to see this through.
Re: End of Antiquity Campaign: The First Crusade (612 - 710)
With models the Justinian Main Campaign could be released. It has this campaign as a part of it but it's just an empty map.
If the Justinian Campaign is released moving the same models to it would be easy.
So it's just the models missing for quite a few factions.
