Here's a concept for determining the "wealth points idea" m came up with for recruiting troops in the future:
One wealth point = one regiment or ship
Regiments/ships start in the city/port they are trained and based in.
Wealth points are distributed based on factions' tiers (tiers will be updated by me with m's approval; to ensure unbiased-ness, anyone is free to dispute their ranking). These numbers can go up if anyone feels that they're too low...
Superpowers: 6And now I just thought of the problem of "when do we get points and when can we spend them?" Which also applies to "when can we start wars, move troops, fight battles, etc?" So I have two ideas.
Greater powers: 5
Great powers: 4
Major powers: 3
Regional powers: 2
Minor powers: 1
1. Turn based
The same way ETW operates. We take turns making moves and stuff, at the end of each turn we get wealth points, but can't spend them until our next turn. Turn order would be determined by dice roll before the game starts and would stay the same the whole time. Highest roll of the die goes first, 2nd highest second, etc. In the event of a tie, the tied players roll again amongst themselves.
2. Real time
Like RTS games. Everything happens in real time, with a set number of days before you get wealth points. To prevent exploitation, battles only happen when all the involved players are present.
