Two years ago I single handedly fed a family of rabbits hehe. They are grown now but I put a nice chickenwire fence up. It keeps them out. I planted a small patch of strawberries a few years ago, sniped the runners the first year, and now its spreading out nicely and have my own little patch growing.

Oh I so want to grow grapes, I live in New Jersey and don't think we have the climate for it. My Grandfather had grapes and he used to cover them with a rather fine weaved netting to keep the birds out, have you tried that?
