Feel free to use this on the russians in historical debate. The mods havent got to me yet on it so i presume its good.
Did I ever mention, my grandfather died in Budapest, in still unkown circumstances in the revolution of 1956?
For Hungarian readers: (Szabo Jozsef) is my grandfather, his picture on the bottom) http://www.kunszentmartontortenete.h...rok/12/56.html
@HorseArcher He was truly a handsome man.
Is the revolution of 1919 ever celebrated in Hungary?
I don't think so, since that revolution was for a communist government, not against it like the 1956 revolution. And Hungary is still very, for lack of better words, Bolshephobic.
I'm about 40% Hungarian and my stupid friend swears that Hungary is full of Muslims and is neighbors with turkey. I wish more people were as cultured as you guys. I'm proud I'm part from a country that fought soviet oppression.
Neighbors with Turkey? Haha, pull out a political map of Europe and show him where it is.
