I guess depend from country to country. In France they have officially recognized the Genocide and it is illegal to deny it, other countries should follow suit.
Go france!
Switzerland is like that too i think, America has technichally accepted it they just need to preasurize Turkey too
Last time they discussed in US kongress about officialy accepting Genocide, you should've seen some pro-Turkish campaigners trying to deny the Genocide. They looked so out of reality and out of touch. The irony is that those very people who are dnying Armenian Genocide are the staunch opposition to those who are denying Holocaust.
different interests create different reactions to them Noble Lord
Switzerland has jailed a few people for denying the Armenian Genocide :p Really great country there is nothing bad anybody can say about it. Bravo to them and the French.
Y'know how people always forget the loser in a war no matter what the circumstances? The Armenian genocide was much like this, people say the Holocaust was incredibly bad and gruesome and sick but they fail to mention the genocide of the Armenian's by the Ottoman Turks who quite frankly went about it worse than Hitler did. They rounded up Armenian citizen's and shot them no matter what I've been to Turkey and again unlike the Holocaust(as in the German's apologised) the Turks won't hear a mention of it apparently they get really annoyed about it. Personally I believe that they think its all been brushed under the carpet now and that the Turks think that they've got away it but the dead Men, women and Children deserve and should recieve justice for the evil that was inflicted upon them.
