How about spiders? And perhaps dragons and drakes?
Dragons weren't around, they had all but died out and sauron did not field them. Same with spiders, sauron couldn't tame them.

The only known Fire Drake at the time was smaug, and of course the cold drakes. But smaug was probably not even born then, let alone mature.
It's not impossible. He must have been pretty big to attack Erebor succesfully, and such growth is gained by age.Plus, he must have had someone to give birth to him.But Cold Drakes were surely around.But all of these are weren't and shouldn't be under Sauron.
