Although I have a slight problem, I can't play RSII campaign. I can play custom/historical battles but then I have to go through steam and start up the regular Rome Total War: Gold Edition. Whenever i try to go through the launcher it just stops working, before I had some errors popping up but I reinstalled RSII according to steam installation instruktions. More specific on what is wrong: Whenever I've choosen a faction to play with and selected RomeTW.exe I click play. At that moment i can't click play or close the launcher and nothing happens, ive looked if some background process is running but there's none. I've basically tried everything my insufficient skills of installing can do. If anyone here on twcenter could help i twould be awesome:thumbsup2

Just built this rig and Ive been playing shogun total war 2 with 15k plus troops on the field with NO issues at all. Yet ive gone back to playing RTW BI on this new rig and a normal battle consisting of 5k overall gives me major lag and about 5-10 fps? :S... Really driving me nuts. Anyone have any ideas?

Sadly, I can't play it anymore. The game crashes every time I click the end turn button. I haven't manually saved in a while, so I can't load an earlier save that's not too far away. I installed RTW clean with all patches and BI and Alexander and then RS2.5.

I've been running it in Windows 8 Pro, my machine is a i7-267QM with 6gbRAM and a Geforce GT555M (2gb).

The problems i've been having are:

Started a campaing with the Gallaeci (which i would like to be Lusitanians :P) and at 555 AUC the game crashes imediatly after i press the end of turn button.
After this began i started a new campaign with Rome, first in BI then in Alexander and in both i had a crash while in battle in which i had about 3600 soldiers and my enemy 3800 (rome vs hannibal). My preferences in this case are:

I would appreciate any help, i have been trying to play this for a week now!! And was having a lot of fun while the game was stable (until turn 555 with my first save with the Gallaeci).
