			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div><font size="2">Does anyone have any ideas for faction variations on current anims or moves specific to different factions that were unique that could perhaps warrant their own animation? Seeems this really is an untapped area that could yield some quite interesting results. For example, I have introduced cut-and-thrust vs purely cutting swords with different anim sets (most western swords before the high middle ages were designed for cutting), another example being estocs/tucks and zweihanders that though both 2H swords in some fashion animate nothing like each other. As well as anims these can of course be reflected in weapon stats.</font></div>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div>Hi, I know that the topic of crossbowmen and longbowmen here was a lot of, and I'm sorry, but my experience is different, not like what I read here on the forum...I tested the effectiveness of xbows and longbow in custom battle, grassy plains map, medium difficulty...always one unit of missiles (in skirmish mode) against one unit of foot man at arms...longbowmen (attack 5)  fired 13-14x before retreat and killed nearly 20 men, HRE Pavise crossbowmen (attack 10) fired 4x before retreat and killed nearly 10 men...As you can see, the result speaks clearly in favor of longbowmen.<br />
<br />
I know they have a lower range and lower cadence, but they have twice as large attack, so how is it possible that they are so ineffective? :(:(</div>

I was wondering if it is even possible to play Khwarezmians (I play 'hard' campaign + 'medium' battles, or both 'hard') and survive. I remember reading a threat about it (not sure if it was on these forums... can't find it now though) which said the only way is to give them all your money and enforce a ceasefire (or even alliance?), and then just sneak in and take their only settlement asap.<br />
<br />
I don't even want to try and use tricks like that. Has anyone tried playing them (on at least hard/medium) and somehow overcome the Mongols in standard ways? I assume it's not possible to keep the 2 initially besieged settlements, but what next? I'm not extremely good at battles... I'd say I can win a 2:3 ratio battle, perhaps 3:5 (if terrain is good), but those ********s have 5 or 6 full stack armies, most of them elite. What should I do, if I can initially (the first few rounds) recruit 1-2 full stack armies with good/decent units... and all the rest would be militia.</div>

playing Khwarezmian late era campaign :cool:. After an exodus to the holy lands conquering the arabic world i am successfully defending against the mongols (scorched earth/fortress defence tactics - stakes are for the weak ;)). Now if i am not mistaking apart from some cannons - handgunners are the the only late game unit. Is there a way to change the roster so i can copy the ways of my seljuk brethren (who helped me alot against the mogols). I am looking at jannisary units. It would somewhat make sence since nobody knows how a khwarezmian army would look like in the 15th century.<br />
<br />
Tl;dr is it possible to edit the roster in an ongoing campaign without taking too much effort.</div>

I am debating whether to make my first Let's play, and I want to know if enough people would be interested. I have been walking around with the idea of making a let's play for a couple of months now and I am still not sure. So do you guys want to see it?<br />
<br />
If it becomes clear in this topic that there is enough interest, I will make a new topic with faction and option choice. I normally play Early campaign, gracul AI, Perm watchtowers, BGR II and hard/very hard. But I am willing to play other options if it is preferred by most.<br />
<br />
Please respond to this topic if you are interested, and also if you have tips for making the actual videos since I have never done it before.<br />
