Hi everyone.

Hi everyone.

I used to have problems gathering points at all in DLV 6.2. Regardless, now with BB while i can see i have military/government points, i dont know how to use them!

In DLV i remember, when i had the required points for an upgrade a message appeared. something like "You have the required points to build..." Right?

Now they just stack.. the only thing i can see is a trait on generals/governors : "General upgrade" and "Governor upgrade"

i think they appeared after winning battles for generals at least

Do i need to take them to a city with Scholarium or something?

Any insight is apreciated :)

Hardcoded Limitations

Hello guys, long time lurker here.

Since development of DLV pretty much ceased (yes, I know that it lives on in BB), regardless I took it upon myself to give this modding thing a shot, and began modding my own copy of DLV to implement various changes to suit my play style, such as fixing bugs, adding movies to events, adding more units etc. and here comes in my question - as naive as it may sound - is there absolutely no way to do anything about the hardcoded limitations in Medieval 2 ? I had so many ideas and dreams as to what I could've dabbled around with or implemented, and it left me heartbroken to discover that I eventually met a dead end, 31 max factions or 500 max units, where I can't do or add nothing no more.

Isn't there any workaround for this ? Can't Creative Assembly do anything about this ? Any input from you guys is greatly appreciated :)

im playing dlv 6.2 + bb4.24 and IMO compared to the best mods in m2tw(ill refrain from naming any) this is pretty damn good.

so i dont think ive understood the game properly because ive got around 800military points in my french campaign at around 1223AD, but in my castles i dont get the option to upgrade my barracks or castle to the next level. its the same with governor points. ive got 400 gov points and i cant make a fairground or upgrade to the next level. am i suppose to do something to make them upgrade?

also, it says on my general's trait list "general upgrades - has an upgrade available" or something like that. what is that and how do i upgrade?
