I remember reading a very long time ago the best poem I had ever read in my life here. It still feels like it has been the best war poem ever!

But I tried finding it by browsing all the winning stories from the start till now and it was not present in it.

Does anyone know where I can find it here?

Sorry if I'm not supposed to make a topic about it in here but I'd would love to be able to re-read it.:)

Welcome one and all to my humble corner of the Writer's Study. Although I'm a recent contributor to this fine community of writers, I feel I shall set up permanent residence here, and what better way to do so than by opening my library. Here you can peruse my writings and keep track of my various projects.
Status: In progress

My first serious attempt at an AAR. It follows the exploits of Fujiwara Kunihira, heir to the Hiraizumi Fujiwara Clan, in his quest to become the first ever Shogun of Japan in Shogun 2: Rise of the Samurai. I'm having loads of fun with it so far and, to my great surprise, it has been received quite well. There are many cliché pitfalls that one must avoid when writing an AAR, one of which being - in my mind at any rate - the writing of multiple AAR's at any given time. In order to produce the best quality AAR that I can, I will not be embarking upon another AAR project until The Road to Kyoto is finished.

A collection of songs and poems that I've written over the years. Further details can be found in the thread itself. I'm not actively seeking to write any more at this particular moment, but if and when I do, the thread will be necessarily updated.

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on my first AAR and I would appreciate some advice on images. To begin with this is the first time I have really posted screenshots, and secondly this is the also the first time I've tried sizing, cropping, enhancing etc too.

I would appreciate any and all advice on how to insert the images in the AAR, is the size below ok?
I would also appreciate advice on the enhancing. The first image is a screenshot that i have cropped but nothing else. The second shot is one I have messed with a little in GIMP, tweaking brightness, contrast and sharpness to try and enhance the image a little. Do you think the enhancements work? Any tips for making it better?

tell me if this has happened to you. you're working on a story or a character...

tell me if this has happened to you. you're working on a story or a character bio for RP (or what have you), and the thoughts and ideas are flowing perfectly. then you realize that a significant part of your work is actually identical to another story that you read in a book, saw in a movie, or played in a game.

this happens to me every now and then with quite a few short stories ive come up with. I'm aware no story or character development can be completely original, despite how different the plot and setting might be, but it's still a bit of a discouragment for me as i wouldn't want my hard work to be generally regarded as a rip-off of X.
