Hello guys, I have been playing medieval custom campaign mod 2. which is...

Hello guys, I have been playing medieval custom campaign mod 2. which is bascially the same game as vanilla except slight alterations, such as timurids & mongols playable faction.

The problem I seem to be having is after around 100 turns it appears half the factions stop expanding and just seem to sit about doing absoultly nothing, Is this due to my preffered difficulty setting?,
I usually play medium as I read somewhere that all the AI are less likely to go out their way to attack gang up on you.

The main problem I feel through my Milan campaign is that England refuse to expand, scotland still only hold 1 piece of land & Denmark are acting pretty clueless too.

All other countries near the mediterranean & towards the middle east seem to prefer naval combat as opposed to Land.

They just love to declare war by blockading a port on say ajjarcio just to be my enemy,

Does anyone have a solution?, would playing on hard/very be a better idea?

On a last note; Is there anyway to stop auto building & unit training completely E.G You have a castle you have just sacked and without a governor My own AI build everything under the sun crushing my economy I know too un tick the build boxes but is there another way? instead of having to un tick each new piece of land?

Thank you for any responses and shared feed back ^^

Hi guys, I've had a brief search and most other threads seem to be based on specific factions, so I was wondering, as a player who has been turtling for some time, but would like to a bit of pace into my games, what are some general rules of thumb that I should apply to blitz campaign? Any advice concerning unit types to use, formations and tactics, economy, diplomacy etc will be very beneficial, much appreciated in advance guys.

The Canon of the Holy Sepulchre has an interesting trait in that it's practically immune to naffatun projectiles.

Most units get shredded by naffatun projectiles. The 2HP Forlorn Hope does better, but is not immune to naffatun projectiles, even though the Forlorn Hope has stats similar to those of the Canon.

So my question is: from what does the Canon's immunity to naffatun projectiles derive. Is it a hidden property of the unit?

So in my Portugal campaign (SS 6.4), I happen to click on my capitol and see this:

I've seen a few generals and kings make it to their 80s, but this is the first I've seen one make it to 90. I'm pretty certain he married into the family while he was still in his teens, so this guy is practically older than dirt. He was a city dweller his whole life, save for sallies during a couple sieges, so that probably contributed to his extremely long life. Tragically, he died on the next turn :( So yeah...how old was your oldest general?

(If anyone's wondering why I'd barely expanded any over 100+ turns, I'm taking this campaign at a very leisurely pace)

What's your favorite pair of factions to have in a fight against each other? It could be a venerable historical match, like English vs. Scots or Egyptians vs. Mongols, or it could be a wacky non-historical one like Danes vs. Timurids or Hungarians vs. Portuguese.

I think England vs. Poland would be pretty fun. Very different ways of fighting -- a defensive, entrenched, long-ranged infantry-focused combat style vs. an offensive, maneuverable cavalry-focused combat style with a mix of medium-range skirmishing and hard-hitting charging.
