In the Teutonic campaign, there is an error in the code that prevents Denmark from utilizing the unique Norwegian units after they successfully form the Kalmar Union.

User dr lummerkrog of the official boards developed this fix but for those who have difficulties in coding or fear to mess with their game code I am providing my own campaign_script files. The only changes in these files from the default besides the fix, is that YEARS are displayed instead of TURNS. There are no changes other than the fix. Over-writing your campaign script with this file will result in the default settings of the Kingdoms campaign_script for the Teutonic Campaign with the Kalmar Union units enabled.

Process
  1. Download and unzip the file
  2. Rename "campaign_script_teutonic" to "campaign_script" without the " marks
  3. Delete the campaign_script file for the Teutonic Campaign
  4. drag and drop the renamed file into the appropriate folder
  5. Start a new game
Enjoy the fix. A word of caution: make a backup of your campaign_script file before you do this just in case of an accident.

UPDATE (EDIT): Only 1 person to my knowledge has been unable to get this to work but as a favor to the community if you could post to let us know if you have had any trouble or if it worked for you I'd appreciate it.

I am an idiot, years and turns are descr_strat so there ARE no changes in the files from default.

Can you just copy the script in yours to the one in ours?

I'm not sure what you mean, sorry.

To clarify it's the English language version of Kingdoms. The scripts should in theory be the same for every game and so far no one has reported any problems.

After weeks I realized what you mean, yes you can copy and paste it. But you need to past it in a certain spot, so if you're not comfortable doing so then just overwrite the Campaign Script file.

The line is: set_event_counter kalmar_formed 1

does anyone know what lines i should add to export_descr_buildings to make Gotland Footmen, Svenner, and Sami Axemen available after the kalmar union event? i've tried many things and nothing seemsto be working.

I REALLY want to be able to kill some ritterbruder with out too much loss on my side
