This is a skinpack containing 30 units to be used in Rome: Total War. These are various hoplites from 6th to 3rd century BC. Besides the Greeks there are also Macedonian, Seleucid and Etruscan hoplites. In this skinpack there are also the Spartans modelled according to the new and quite popular movie „300”. There are many various types of helmets (including Corinthian , Thracian, Attic, Phrygian, Chalcidian and the „pylos” type), armor, shields, clothes and ornaments. The „Hoplites 2.0” skinpack contains all together the models, textures and Unit Cards.
Dear KL300 - maybe just make something better, especially the "crap" faces? Well, it seems You're always giving "F" to KLA's works - maybe you could explain us, why? Except it is just 'cause you regret you cannot make anything like this? Well, it's rather boring seeing you always at the same jealous position...
hello great King
I wanted to know, can i put it with EB Barbarian invasion?
where do i put the "units" and the "units cards"?
sorry but i am french and i probably haven't sean it because of my bad translation.
thank you your work is INCREDIBALE
ciao
Amazing work. Awesome details Best skins I have seen....
Got the same question as malandrineddu:
Can I use these skin/models with Eb newest version?
Well i guess i will just have try following ur tutorial...
Any installationpack avaiable? or an easier way to update?
don`t missunderstand me don't wanna sound spoiled I'm just short on time
This is great and of course with King Luois Assurbanipal's "trade mark"-face with extravagant (not in brazilian soap opera) moustache and i see that ispiration for author was movie "300".
The simplest way how to copy model and texture - .cas and .dds *(.tga) files to the correct folders and rename them to those from my skinpacks.
.TGA is texture; .CAS is model;
.CAS files put: ..:\....\Rome Total War\data\models_unit (folder with Your game on Your computer)
.TGA files put: ..:\....\Rome Total War\data\models_unit\textures (if U don't have 'textures' folder, U must create it.)
If You want only replace units with these of Rome Total War, EB, RTR or other mods U can only rename units files.
put models (.cas) into:....\Rome Total War\Data\models_unit,
and textures (.tga) to:....\Rome Total War\Data\models_unit\textures. (if U don't have 'textures' folder, U must create it.)
Then open file: descr_model_battle in ...\Rome Total War\Data\
You would like to put: Tarentine Leukaspides
model: Tarentine_Leukaspides.cas
texture: Tarentine_Leukaspides.tga
put model Tarentine_Leukaspides.cas into:....\Rome Total War\Data\models_unit,
and textureTarentine_Leukaspides.tga to:....\Rome Total War\Data\models_unit\textures.
To add completly new unit is a bit more complicated - several files needs to be edited. The simplest tutorial that has ever been written you can find here:
I don't add Readme files because people are using different versions of Rome (1.0-1.6), or different mods (EB, RTR, 77 BC, SPQR, etc.). I would have to make different text for each version....
Imo after reading that tutorial carefully everybody will understand how to make it - it can't be expalined in a simpler way.
I can't write better about 'adding new units' because my English is ugly.
I have request for modders. COULD SOMEBODY HELP AND CRAETE TEXT FILES FOR MY HOPLITES 2.0 SKINPACK (Imperal Romans 2.0 or Hannibal's Army 1.0?
I'm a newb, and I'm planning on using the spartan officer skin, but the way you explained it is kinda confusing, can you explain it step by step for me? And the file I downloaded contains only 2 files(.dds and .cas), so.....yeah.....help.......lol
solve all the problems above, now my only problem is that I took away the phalanx ability so that the unit are all using short spears, except the officer, plz tell me how to let the officer hold a sword? thx
