1. Introduction
The M2TW modfolder is an installer script that allows you to easily set up a mod folder with a custom name and writes all necessary files.
It also allows you to extract the data files or copy the sound files over, if you want sounds. So after using it you can directly start
getting your hands dirty.
If you want it to, the installer will also write the settings so that you are able to run your mod from the Launcher.
------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Usage
To set up your mod folder simply enter a name for your mod, launcher settings if you want to use the Launcher and then select the components
you wish to install.
The installer will then set up your mod folder with my preferred config, so if you want to change them, edit
"Medieval II - Total War\modname.cfg" and "Medieval II - Total War\modname\modname.cfg" where modname is the name of your mod.
------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Files
The installer will create the following files and folders:
modname.bat
modname.cfg
Medieval II - modname.lnk
modname (folder)
And the following registry keys if you choose to use the launcher:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\Mods\Unofficial\Modname
->"FullName"
->"DisplayName"
->"Version"
->"Author"
->"DistributionSource"
->"Path"
->"ConfigFile"
->"Language"
------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Changelog
v1.2:
- Updated to M2TW 1.2
- Added launcher regkey capabilities
- Removed copying videos, links are changed now instead
- The map can be regenerated now
- In 1.2 loading screens work, so I removed them
