Adds new factions that possesses monsters, magic, the undead, and dragons.

##Game play##

This mod adds the new playable faction 'Mythological' to M2TW. This faction is made up of mages, monsters, the undead, and dragons. Their goal is to permanently kill the Pope, however to do this they have to defeat every Catholic Christian faction because any Catholic priest can become the new Pope. Thought they have many powerful warriors they lack agents and the ability to make large amounts money. Below is more details of the following units.

Mages: they are magic users who can be recruited in cities and citadels. They use magic to attack their enemies (the game says gunpowder because I can't edit this). The General of this faction is a Battle Mage.

Monsters: these creatures are created in cities and are both numerous and strong. Due to their appearence they scare both humans and horses.

Undead: these beings are created in castles. Though they're not as numerous as monsters they are unaffect by heat and will never route (the dead do not fear anything). They only scare humans because horses do not fear the smell of the dead, nor understand why the walking dead are unnatural.

Dragons: they are living siege engines that can be bred in cities and castles. These are the strongest soldiers the Mythological faction has.

Agents: the only agents available to the Mythology are heretics (priests) and witches (assassins). I could not add the actual heretics and witches because these units are hard coded.

##Installation##
This mod is zipped up using 7zip. You may need to download the unzipper here: http://www.7-zip.org/

To install this mod past all the files in the default 'Medieval II Total War' folder (C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War).

This version will only work if you have the 1.2 version of M2TW (I cannot make an up-to-date version that will work with the 1.0 and 1.1 version of M2TW because I no longer have these version of M2TW, so I have no way to test them to make sure they work). If someone is willing to help me test the 1.0 an 1.1 versions of my Mythology mod I will be able update these versions.

##Version 1.2##
Thanks to the help of Hans Kloss I have finally fixed the bug that made all my units invisible. This allowed me to see what the Mythological faction's army looked like for the first time. All units are now visable.

I have finally fixed the problem that caused certain soldiers to change textures in battle. For those who liked these monsters you may be interested in my Titanocene invasion module, which uses similar creatures as their soldiers (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downl...o=file&id=1459).

I have also made some minor tweaks to this mod.

##Note##
This faction was made using the Mesoamerican culture. Thus all the Mesoamerican generals now look like Mythological Generals. To include dragons with new meshes I had to remove the dragons from the Tirumids no longer have elephant units. There are no other changes to any other faction in this game.

The original version of this mod can be found here (this mod will work with the 1.0 and 1.1 versions of M2TW but has all white units and none of my new meshes): http://files.filefront.com//;7388497;/

Now that I have played the game, I can safely say that YOU ROCK!

Really, this is a must download, if only for the goatmen and other hilarious pictures. Keeps it up!

sounds really interesting...

but for some reason I don't believe it's possible to have made all those new models that fast? Are they new models or just skins?

Could you please post screenshots?

I have not made any new models since I cannot get the textures to work. However since most of the creatures are human shaped I will not need to make a large amount of new models.

The version made for the 1.0 and 1.1 versions of M2TW is an older version of my mod so it does not have any of my new meshes. As I no longer have the 1.0 or 1.1 versions of M2TW I cannot update this version.

You need to download 7zip to unzip these files.

Have you thought of creating one like this on a bigmap? That would be cool!!
Its great already but I'd feel more at home with it if it was the large map.

I just read your bug list, and if you dont mind my opinion, I kind of like the mesh problem that occurs to the possessed peasants. That whole chaotic mix of blacks, greens, and greys is sorta ominous and evil looking, so perhaps you could keep that? For the peasants only though you know, for variety.

Hey!! Is there a thread or a forum dedicated to this mod, because I need to report a problem: I haven't got the myth.bat file. Please help me if you can, it looks like an excellent mod
