Description
Updated:

Added darkened vanilla night sky textures for better matching without skymod; slightly tweaked lighting (brighter in clear weather, darker in bad weather).

Darkened night ambient lighting for more realistic looking nights. Recommended with Horsearcher's Skymod; horizon colors are matched with his darker night sky textures.

Installation for vanilla sky:
-unpack contents of folder for_vanilla into your MTW2 directory
-run game with --io.file_first switch
or add this to medieval2.preference.cfg:

[io]
file_first = true

Installation for skymod:
-unpack contents of folder for_skymod into your MTW2 directory

To uninstall:
-delete what you unpacked.

Looks very nice! I was under the impression, based on what I read in horsearcher's thread, that it was not possible to change the fog and light colors. Was horsearcher pulling that out of his... or did you come up with a way to modify them?

I just used hex editor on .lightning files, changed values progressively until i found right bits. If someone is interested to tweak it further:

example of night_clear_light.lighting

Marked blue changes ambient lightning (i just reduced old values by half) and red changes fog color.

Is there any way to brighten the torches, the way they were in BI? You could see them well, even from high up

I don't know about torches, i'm leaving this to others who want to improve it.
