  1. lol there's the spirit. Im on scholarship so I don't have the same issues.
  2. I consider it a interest free loan, so I'm not mad.

    People have got hurt worse
  3. That is screwed up their making you pay it back, the Kentucky guard doesn't as far as I know.
  4. Only about 9 months in the Guard...

Went to Benning, about 5 drills then signed the contract. Learned a lot though so it was worth it. Also got 2 Honorable Discharges from it, so I'm ahead of most people in the Army on that count.
  5. Yeah Id say so. Were you prior service?
  6. But I got to pay off my enlistment bonus since I decided to take an Active Duty instead of Guard contract, so 75% of my stipend goes to that. Also, my loans are 6.8% and 7% so consolidating them into a 2% loan makes sense.
  7. I was in the same boat, you should get your stipend this summer.
  8. Its 18 months I think since a friend went and got it to pay for a Mustang.

I want to get it, pay off all my loans and use it to pay my room and board for next year and the end of this year since I won't be able to work much this summer due to LDAC.
  9. I know what your talking about it's the USAA 25K starter loan. It's fixed at 2%, I think. I was going to get it and put it all in a CD but then the market went belly up. You don't start payments on it until after you commission, but you have to be less than a year away to receive the loan. Check USAA's website and your ROTC office should have pamphlets. It's a simple process to get it.
  10. Going to ADSO for it too...

Hey real quick, you know about that 25,000 dollar pre-commissioning loan? Do you know where I can find info on it?
