Absolutely, generational and with it 'cultural' change accounts for much of such phenomena, including the roleplay. Now that you're Content, you can read my next forumological article early if you feel like it.
I'm sure there's some social phenomenon that could explain it. Probably has something to do with the disappearance of the old 2010 devians who were pretty much stereotypical examples of what the TD is known for. I'd say me and tnu posted more in that vein before you respectable guys took over the TD. Now being a spammer or a infraction magnet isn't near as fun without more people doing it.
You save bribery for things now? - Disappears from site. - Retreats from Coliseum. - Selective bribery. - Joins Content. I guess we're seeing a real makeover with you, à la Twilight, or TNU if it weren't for his suspension. Everybody seems to clean up their act and join the staff at one point
