Would it fit the atmosphere? historically? In the Netherlands, yes. Beyond that, I really don't think the republic option would be used much (people don't want to give up power... and we all like playing as part of a monarchy anyway ), but I thought it would be good to include it just in case someone happens to want a democratic option.

This one would involve every nation being a republic, of course. if you don't like it you can still take out this option, of course. I can tell you with complete certainty that he has never been infracted. Normally I'd say ask a moderator to be absolutely sure of it, but he's been elected to CdeC just about two weeks ago, and you can't run for election with infractions. I meant me...
In other essence, you can either form a brand new nation, or just leave shared powers. In brand new, only one sovereign. Other, shared. Explanation OK???

Republic --> They form a new nation with a republican government (which you have in the rules already) Commonwealth --> The monarchs elect/otherwise select a "high king" (or whatever they choose to call him) who will become the ruler of the new nation. The other monarchs maintain complete control over their nations, but the high king may overrule them and otherwise tell everyone what to do. Oligarchy --> Works like the dual monarchy and triumvirate system, except with more people. Still not convinced with the republic part. I thought a union was a new nation?
