Btw, what did you find out about the diplomacy text elven bug? I see EoH has some info.. But I dont quite follow... I would very much like to include it in 1.3 if it's a fix.
i uploaded the latest MOS in a big package everything in one.. perhaps if you mod your stuff also into this big package.. we can release it in one big file once more..

Damn I was afraid 3.2 was close around the corner... So there aren't any custom settlements playable :O That's bad lol
What I'm going to do is this I guess since it sounds like things got a little messy when I left without getting the latest files out... I'm going to download 3.2.. Then MOS 1.2 and I'll tackle it like this:
- install 3.2
- adapt my new files onto 3.2
- finish my version
- take the public 1.2 and then compare it with mine once I'm finished and see what needs to be brought over, modded, changed, etc.
That should make sure that 3.2 is the base, my own (rather bug free I believe) 1.2 is used, all the changes you made brought over + bugs fixed. And hopefully custom settlements will work then.. How does that sound to you? I'm very close to finishing my 1.2.. But I'm going to adpat your 1.2 onto mine because everything was working as far as I was aware. So in this order: 3.2>Trail's 1.2>Hero's 1.2> polishing. Should come out good.. And name it 1.3 when we get there

4 i updated to 3.2 and added everything i made/remade for the 1.2 version.. some remaks though
- vanilla custom settlements not on map
- escargoth not custom playable
- thorins hall building not added
- do not use the new easteregg ui.. it misses the adjusted loading screens.. so it is not compleeet and each loadingscreen gets old background..
- i also cleaned up the edb a bit, but it still needs adjusting for the elves..
- also helms deep needs adjusting.. it needs the grass resource otherwise recruiting is a .. since it counts as mountain region now.. but well rohan doesn't do with the mountains..
- would be nice if faramir started east of the river anduin with 3 units of rangers. also give minas tirith some silver units.. this makes gondor a bit stronger at the start
there are also some issues in the new files now..
some unit descriptions are missing in export_units.. at least the uruk-hai bomb , probably also the other 2 super units..
historic events misses the description "gamenotes".. you can take it from a older version
there is one lorien icon missing in diplomacy screen.. (think it has to do with stupid change i made in descr_sm_factions.. @ saxons , changing a hungary link into saxons.. probably needs reversed)

Well.. I now have a good 2 1/2 to 3 weeks of modding time I see we have 1 .20 as I figured would happen after my disappearance so gratz on pulling out of that 'hole' without my files or help.. Feel a little bad that I sort of unconditionally just left everyone hanging

What should I do? I still have lots of changes/files that need to be implemented... Many new additions, fixes and such... But I realize I cannot just rush in like this.. We need to coordinate and I am not going to disappear this time
Would you like me to get 1.2 and merge it with mine + finish my files for a 1.21 or 1.3? I can do it pretty fast now I think and make up for my lack of activity.

just testplaying gondor a bit.. i think it would be nice to alter faramir's starting position to the forests across the river with 3 units of rangers? also some silver armoured dudes in minas tirith? gondor really is a harsch faction to play now.. this would make the game more interesting for the player aswell?
ehm also i'm experiencing a crash when i have a city battle? no log error.. tried some stuff but don't know why.. could just be from modding, modding, modding,, but i hope you could test if everything works from time to time?

RL has simply swamped me here latley and it's been hard to find time to mod properly. I've been having to mod whenever I can, making progress here and there... Sometime ago you were concerned by the addition of new units to Arnor, Gondor, Rhun, and a few others about upsetting recruitment balance.. I will be handling this as well as it must be done for balance. There shouldn't be any balancing left for Lorien or Mirkwood.. I will revert to vanilla stats and they'll work now since the units were split. Also we got a new Rhun Archer unit included in AUM but not used.. It's the Loke-Tundas-Rim. An archer unit with shields with slightly weaker missile stats than the stronger Rhun archers. Gave 'em a cool Unit_Info card along with new ones for pel units now that I can make rather decent ones
Yeah.. Any factions getting new units I will be balancing thoroughly. Especially the AUM department.
the only file you miss is i believe descr character
this file needs changing.. saxons need to have the exact same input as the mongols.. right now they have a mix of different factions and sometimes nothing..
it must all be like the mongols to make it all appear elvish.. and the invisible merchant needs to be added.. in order to have the mirror not show the merchant..
