  1. That's a good one too

Are you really sure? Didin't you care for the general who, say, was main leader of your expansion and liked him because he was >>him<<? Hppened all the time in pre-Emprie TW-games to me.
In TATW theat's almost impssible in my experience since you care so much for the starting generals that the others [whom you might care for in Rome say] is of nooo interest as they are no starting book/movie characters

I think you underline my point haha ^^
  2. This one was more like "I'll die but I'll see if I can learn anything from it for next time". What I learnt is how to win.

Not a problem for me as I don't have enough imagination to make backstories for them.

Eafa. I think he died quite early in mine, if it's the same guy. Or maybe that was Efi. I find it hard to keep track of all my children's names.
  3. My normal tactic unless I'm really strong and thus get righteous cocky - who are they to take my settlement?
Much more fun when you have the spirit of "I'll die but I'll make it cost so much they'll ever remember" and you win haha ^^

Yeah, but that's much of he value of all TW games : The unexpecte RPG value! The stories I've made up for guys in RTW both in and off ingame has been epic haha ;D
The problem for for TATW is rather the opposit; the book/movie character makes it much harder to create new stories and care for other characters...

His name is Eafa, eldest son (and child) of Theodren, dunno if he's a starting child of Theorden but there he is
  4. Actually I would really like to defend Helm's Deep sometime but Edoras looks and feels beautiful. The first 2 times I just vacated and let them take it - I was in no mood to fight a stream of stacks so early in the game. The third time I stood my ground but attacked them one by one before they could siege. This time I thought I would let them come at me but I didn't realise that Rhun would join in as only Mordor was sieging (haven't quite worked out the tiles around that place yet) so I thought it was game over. I went into that battle knowing that I couldn't win. Maybe that's why it has left such an impression.

Though my commanding didn't have a lot to do with it. A combination of only one way in, one way up (choke point), higher ground, brave units (including Dwarves ), lots of archers (including bodyguard-switched Helmingas), and a catapult hurling fire. Awesome.

Yes. But he died well. His arrows spent he joined the front line holding back the tide. Funny how you get attached to some generals isn't it? For me it's mostly ones (some) that I recognise from the books: Theodred & Eomund (?) are two of my favourites but unfortunately they have the best Growth stats so have mostly been on governor duties. But Eomer is kicking arse wherever he can. And the army I sent to help take Dol Guldur is led by Wilfrid! I took an instant liking to that guy.

Sounds like you've lost a lot of good men. Who's your king?
  5. Edoras is high on the wanted-scale AFAIK, and as I presume you do not lose it but is a royal pain in the ass to Sauron I'm not surprised haha
Yeay, go epic commander W' I love such battles worthy of remembering
No I really like him! Playing a hot seat campaign atm as Rohan, Erkenbrand is my last survining nameworthy of teh starting generals (last with an ability as well), beside the grandchild of Théoden( and current king whom I to my surprise started to like recently) he's what make's me care for my generals
  6. Tempting isn't it?

4 Invasions against Edoras now. None against anywhere else. I was starting to think that this is DCI's fault somehow but we have seen other invasion targets in DCI before. I'm beginning to take it personally. But in a good way: Sauron must see me as a worthy opponent. I just won a humongous siege battle: two stacks of Rhun and a stack from Mordor complete with 2 Olog-Hai and a Nazgul. One of the best battles I've ever played. Alas brave Erkenbrand didn't survive.
  7. Then that settled haha
Damn, hope that no pop up in my head tonight when I will go out for a beer, will not be able to resist to snatch someone glasses and then scream and play air guitar

Hmm, 38 additional DCI players now through MOS and as yet no bug reports, beside those who mixed submods in a no no no-way. I love our stable work *nods*
  8. Very, very cool. And I'm the Miami guy: excellent!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
  9. Now open DCI's OP and check the crew-box
  10. *pat on the head* Glad to find you down here among us mortals
