Narf and Bjourn have made a point that most Rynish aren't Norse lol, but that's beside the point. The very idea of an assassination attempt on the Prince is the problem, however well planned. Ian isn't in on the inner workings but its clear that more than a few nobles have it out for Ryn (including you ) and the King is their only protection. So they wouldn't try and kill the Prince, regardless of framing you or not. And ofcourse, this is my OOC reasoning. In game, Ian just finds it odd but is still trusting Rufus. I like to keep my options open lol.
Fair enough. Still I think my reason makes more then enough sense. Like I said I have been framing Ryn as beyond all decency for a while now and this is just the latest in a group of atrocities I can add to their resume. I mean it's not like they were random men they were DRESSED in Rynish attire and were norse.
All that stuff I can believe lol, the attempted murder for one Ian's seen before. Richard is ambitions and demanding and its not surprising. This time it happens to actually be the other way around, which I might add is very ironic. Loved how you turned the idea around and used it to your advantage, bravo. By no means does that mean Ian doesn't believe the other stuff nor would he not support you at this moment, right now it just means that an assassination by Ryn just doesn't make sense to him. It may evolve it may not, it may come back and bite our relationship in the behind or it may never be mentioned (which I doubt).
I gave the reason, they want to frame Richard. Remember this is the Ryn who has slaughtered innocent scottish, attempted to assassinate Richard, besieged my castle, captured and presumably tortured and killed my men and now is trying to disgrace richard to turn the king against me.
Posted this in the Rhodes thread, but thought I might place it here so you can see Hardly, Ian's seen his fair share of happen to Richard, but he doesn't like how quickly you jumped on Ryn. It doesn't match up with him. He remembers when they offered to shelter you, that he has never had a problem with them, and the fact that they would suddenly go against you is not unheard of (look at major) its odd to go to such lengths as trying to kill the Prince. Note: that's the only thing I don't like, the idea that Ryn would out of nowhere kill the Prince is beyond me (Ian), thus you planted the seeds of doubt. Time to see how they grow.
