  1. Bah, sorry dude, I got to go for a bit for I will respond to your message when I get back! Also I will continue to listen to any of the music you post in that rate thread, but I will refrain from posting there tonight so as to give someone else a chance

    Talk to ya soon man.
  2. So no love for Against Me? Damn.I was actually thinking about a tatoo inspired by one of their songs :'( I shall have to get more womens opinions on this before i finally get around to getting inked!

Yeah its amazing. Its got some real gems in there but i mostly lurk there cos there's no way i can waffle away with them cos they know everything and i sadly only know most of the local hardcore bands, the mate who introduced me to hardcore is in a pretty decent one actually, and the big names

I think that is definitely the best thing bout hardcore, and any kinda music really, cos it's meant to touch something deep down. Like i feel awe from listening to like the early punk stuff and the whole philosophy behind it. Acoustic sloppy stuff when trying my luck with a bird, and serenading was always helpful too i spose, to get me into the mood. Alt rock cos it just takes ya to a new place. And metal for... I dont think i should say that here actually

The actual best thing about Hardcore is the feel at a gig, like this one i was at about a week ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1wMN...layer_embedded, and the fact the lads(in the band) actually drink with ya afterwards if your in the clique and the whole culture that goes with it. The only thing i dont like about it is piercings are kind of a must over here to be accepted and i dont have any outwardly visible ones... The effects of not going through my angsty teen years as a hardcore kid cos im sure i wouldn't be able to go through a metal detector if i did. Instead i went through them the normal Irish way of alcoholism and philandering but i think i got the better deal

Where abouts are you from and is there a decent hardcore, or any, scene there? I wanna say the States but i can't be sure I know Chicago and Boston have deadly ones but thats about all i know, some of my mates went on an exchange thingy to Harvard and somewhere in Chicago, and they said it was almost as good as here Which is saying something cos half of them are in a band here!
  3. Nah man sorry, that second message was an add-on to my first. My bad

Moshspace, eh? I'll definitely have to check that out. To be honest, my favorite of the genres so far is Post-Hardcore/Metalcore - such as Asking Alexandria, Our Last Night, Atreyu, ADTR, and the like. RATM does have some decent music, although I need to re-listen to it because like I said my tastes have progressed so maybe I will love them now or something

I love how this music can pump you up and make you feel happy and ready to kick the world's ass, or even if you're sad and depressed it can help you get your rage and emotions out. I'm writing this while listening to an Our Last Night song and I just feel like typing 'RAHHH' the whole time

Ok, sorry I babbled a bit lol.
  4. You mean Against Me or the just regular music. I got nothing against it but i find hardcore is a really good study aid, weirdly enough, and something to get you into an angry mood... Perfect for debates but i've always played acoustic stuff since i was a kid and it was my first love... Musically of course
  5. Yeah i think that's the best part of these kinda forums. You go on Moshspace? Its got some fecking ace songs on it and a good community to boot. I'm only getting introduced to Hardcore now through a mate in college but the live sets are unreal! And it always helps to have a resident guru at hand I thought RATM was good live but hardcore just gets the blood pumping like nothing else
  6. Well, I actually take that back. I did like the really 'light' stuff before hand.
  7. I like lots of different Hardcore and Metal at the moment. I've only been into it about a year now and have and still am progressing into liking more of it - and therefore haven't experienced many, many bands yet. Thanks to Justinian or I would have never started liking any of it.
  8. No probs It really is a cracking choon and pretty recent to boot You like Hardcore or just Metal in general?
