Because we share we disagree with conservatives in relatively trivial matters : Drugs and Homosexual mariage. Plus there is an effective history of coalition between conservatives and Libertarians. Many of the conservatives intellectual hero are libertarians. Plus there is a visible transition between Libertarian and conservative. But in the strategic field : Wether the Occupy Wall street win or loose ... Libertarians will lose if they associate with them. We will become associated with the Hippies if they lose and the hippies will dump us if they lose ... at which moment the Conservatives won't want to associate with the treators.
And why should we trust the conservatives?
