Cause he would've joined the Siberian Horde after installing Bogd Khan since his choice for tsar didn't work out. At least that's my view.
And what better way than have Baron Von Sternberg do that....
I definitely want the Cossacks, but first I need Siberia back from the horde. The Mongols must return to the fold.
Base your elite on the Kuban Cossacks. Hell just go with an Uber Russia that is RULED BY COSSACKS. http://www.google.com.ph/search?clie...w=1024&bih=452
Every Russian general portrait I can find of the era has facial hair out the wazoo. It must be a requirement. I don't know; perhaps the fact that I try to make a personal avatar for games that involve more leeway such as this leads me in wild goose chases for the "right picture". Finding a general that could pass as a Tsar may bring me back to reality. All my infantry shall have fuzzy hats; in fact, they will be required to have two on their persons at all times.
True, true. But you must acquire pictures of generals now with big bushy beards and tall fur caps to make the impression of awesomeness and power for your faction, even if its a mirage and contributes nothing to gameplay. Look at my former faction threads, the unit pictures may be many and creates the impression "Yes, I can afford that many, and that complicated. FEAR ME!!!" But in truth, I only have handful and never recruits some of them. And not to mention I am a megalomaniac.
I don't want my faction leader to personify evil. Hiss generals yes, but not him. Wouldn't he be perfect for the Mongolian-Siberian faction that plagues my outer border?
This guy personifies the evil character, he has a german name, belongs to the aristocracy, and based somewhere in some remote frigid Siberia with his cossack horde bent on restoring the Mongol Empire and rampage Europe again! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Ungern_von_Sternberg Base your empire on him. ZOMBIE MODE!
Once again I am impressed by your skill with pictures. But this Cossack intrigues me. Does he have a fuzzy hat?
How about Admiral Kolchak? Or that Russian nobleman/cossack that wanted to restore the Mongol Horde? I forgot his name...
