Edited version Spartan hoplites These men are the spartan hoplites they train to be hoplites from a very early age through a ritual called the agoge when spartan boy's come of age they go through special training and serve at an syssita which is a mess hall. these men are most famous for the 300 that at thremoplaye against the Persians. and the special training makes them the toughfist warriors in the world also when spartan mother equipped her son she will tell him "come back with this shield or apaun it" which meant he will fight to the death or return home victorious Equipment they were equipped like normal hoplites. they used a bronze aspis shield a stabbing spear with a over hand grip
