steam got rid of kingdoms.exe with definitive edition. Just rename a copy of medieval2.exe to kingdoms.exe. But gigantus also has a steam

I haven't tested it myself, because I don't really feel like playing Med 2 yet, but I think you get the points for each upgrade level all at once.
